work advice

Iv been off work now for just over a week. i never phoned in stupid i know but i have my reasons. Iv been a heavy cannabis user for nearly 10 years. Just last week i broke down i know its been coming for a long time but its an addiction i could'nt get over. I have finaly sought help and support and 9 days clean. Would you advise me to tell them the truth. I really want to but not sure what reaction im going to get. I need advice on this as soon as possible thanks.
