Hi, Hope someone can help, my partner is looking for work, like so many! He's seen a job which is of interest to him, as he has all of the necessary qualifications, except Nuclear Clearance, but we can't find out how he can get this clearance before applying for the job? Thanks in anticipation...............welsh

You can't get security clearance as a private individual. There is some info here for you.

You probably need SC clearance though BC plus CTC may be good enough. There are central Government organisations (primarily the Defence Vetting Agency) that deal with this for all Government departments and contractors who work for Government departments. Once you have a job offer, they will apply for you.
