I have been asked to provide my eligibility to work in the uk, by providing a passport, birth certificate along with something with my NI number on it.
I don\'t have a passport, and I am married, therfore, my name is now different to that on my birth certificate, do i have to provide my marriage certificate as well?

Basically, yes, but I would get in touch by phone and ask the place to make sure. Birth certificate, marriage cert, and qualification certs, an official letter or utility bill sent to you at your address, an old payslip - these all helpprove you are you. A new-style driving licence is also very helpful as it has your photo on it.
