My son's college says with an authorised abscence he is only allowed a maximum of 3weeks EMA
But a friend of mine claims she got 26wks Ema on authorised abscence - although that was with GP's sick note -which my son does not have yet
All iknow that colleges confusingly have their own EMA rules

ok. Is there a question here?

PS EMA is given for attendance, so i would not be surprised if it is not given for non-attandance

For Funks Sake lord almighty, gordon bennett
That isn't a question.
well then what is the question? It seems quite hidden to me!

You already say that you know that different colleges have their own rules, so reading between the lines and guessing that your question is "is it right that my son gets 3 weeks when someone else gets 26 weeks" then you have answered your own implied question by saying different colleges have different rules.

If your question is, however " is it right that my son's college only gives 3 weeks" then no-one can answer except the college
