If this has been asked before , then apologies.
In the marathons run previously, a number of people have died whilst taking part. I realise that the rules as they stand only permit medals to those who finish on the day.Just wondered if there is any recognition offered, to the families of those who died or finished very very late. My own feeling is that there should be . A certificate or something acknowledging the effort made, by either late finishers or those who died during the race.Especially as these runners were probably running for their charity. What do others think?
