Why do we need to appoint someone to play 'God'? We elect our representatives, and if we don't like them we get rid of them - and that all comes about through a process called 'thinking'. Try it. You may well surprise yourself.

me explain. There is a mental mechanism called 'compartmentalisation', whereby certain beliefs cannot be allowed to be disproved. so they are tucked away into a little watertight compartment in the mind where they are immune to the forces of reason, commonsense a and science. Here they remain inviolate. Intellect cannot be invoked, as it has no place in the believer's scheme of things. Rationality can be used for all other facets of one's life, but these vulnerable beliefs are not subjected to it, lest their little world collapses and they drown in a sea of incomprehension.
