Labour ‘Mulling New Proposal’ To Grab Tax From House Sales
//Labour officials are looking at proposals for a "horrifying" tax of homeowners on the increase in the value of their houses.
A report commissioned by the party and uploaded to their website this month recommends that applying capital gains tax to primary homes would help tackle "wealth inequality".
The report also proposed a shake-up of council tax which could slap extra taxed onto Brits with bigger gardens.//

According to the report //Anyone selling their only home could be made to pay tens of thousands of pounds more, in a move which could paralyse the housing market. The move would hit homeowners who want to move by tens of thousands of pounds, and could mean moving to a larger house impossible.//
…. not to mention the adverse effect such a plan would have on their children’s legacy. Labour voters – be careful what you vote for!

Be afraid. Be very afraid.
George Monbiot is one of the authors of the report - that should tell everyone all they need to know.

Me neither, not in a general election anyway and I'm considering not to vote Labour in any council elections which is a shame because our local one is a very good councillor. I've been a Labour voter ,apart from a short dalliance with the Lib Dems, ever since I was allowed the vote back in the year dot.Corbyn and his comrades are killing the Labour party.I wish they would get rid of him.
A lot of left wingers I know were over the moon when Corbyn became labour leader. That honeymoon period is over, with his position on Brexit (whatever that was) being largely to blame.
Concidentally, Glastonbury is on this weekend. I doubt he'd be greeted with the same adulation as he was last time he turned up there. More likely booed off stage.
