I Live in West London and I need help with anger management. I have asked the doctor but only offered my prozac, where could I get counciling from? Would I have to pay?

For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.You need to ask your Doctor to refer you again or to speak to another Doctor, you could try phoning Citizens Advice or an information bureau and find out about local anger management courses, where I live there are free courses available, they just ask for a �5.00 donation per visit if you can afford it.

Can't believe yr Dr offered Prozac - it's not a cure all - anger is not a medical problem...
It might be worth your while lookin out for some self help books, and look at 'Mind over Mood' for good CBT (cognitive behavioural therapy) techniques -

I'm sure counselling would help you but sure there will be a long waiting list thru the NHS if you could get a Dr to refer you, or would be really expensive if you went privately.
