THE WOMEN OF COURAGE AWARDS 2006
DO YOU KNOW AN UNSUNG HERO?
Do you know a woman who has done something extraordinary either for herself or for somebody else? Someone whose bravery deserves recognition, who has faced up to terrific odds and triumphed? Someone not unlike a heroine in one of Lesley Pearse's novels - or indeed, Lesley herself.
The Lesley Pearse Women of Courage Award gives you the opportunity to honour someone who has made a difference. She may be your mum, your grandma, your aunt, your sister, your daughter, your cousin, or just a friend or acquaintance.
Simply by nominating someone for The Lesley Pearse Women of Courage Award, you are letting them know that you think that they, or something they've done, is special and worthy of wider recognition.
The closing date for nominations is October 31st. During November, Lesley and the panel of judges will read all the nominations and have the difficult task of choosing five finalists; they will be announced in December. Then, in January 2007, the five finalists and their guests will be invited to a sumptuous awards lunch in London, when the winner will be announced and presented with her award - plus a cheque for 1000 - by Lesley herself. The winner will also receive:
-A luxury family holiday for four
-500 worth of Woolworths vouchers
-One year's subscription to Love It!
-Hundreds of pounds worth of Penguin books
The other four finalists will each receive a certificate commemorating their achievement, plus some other fantastic prizes.
