i think we all have them wrong and it could be because the press have forced us this way??
my example............ i was watching GMTV (dont ask) this morning and they were doing a helicopter flight over a dam in rotherham, the guy in the chopper was just getting to the important bit when the girl in the studio interupted him................................... so we could watch the hopeless brandy drenched socialite paris hilton walk out of jail??????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????
Hi ruge you are so right, They keep telling us these are the pictures the world wants to see, I am not one bit interested in some spoilt wazzock or any so called celebrity, they can all go boil there heads far as i am concerned. The important things are pushed aside, ordinary people are superfluous (spelling)
I am gonna mail you later, about shed, i lost your e-mail when computer crashed, i will get it from Julie, take care.
RB. personally it disgusts me especially when weighed against other news items. That said, when you see the number of 'celeb' magazines sold containing who is skinny this week etc there must be a market for it, a sad reflection on todays society perhaps?
sorry, i dont know how i managed to miss the box with my question?
i forgot to add................. the helicopter was flying over a dam that may burst and destroy over 200 houses, who's residents had to be evacuated to a town hall at 3am?
looks like you've been on the beer when you posted this question RB!
I couldnt agree with you more. There is no point to Paris Hilton whatsoever so what i wanna know is just WHO is interested in her becasue i couldnt name one single person!
I find that most disrespectful to the people who might loose their homes!!! Shame on GMTV!
I said the same thing this morning to my work mates I was amazed they had done that. It was her own fault. These people houses and lives are at risk. !!!!!!!
the press aren't forcing you to do anything; they try very hard to give people what they already want. So they have this idea that you're interested in Paris Hilton (I don't mean you personally). No doubt people are; look at the way things like Heat sell. People say how foolish all these celebrities are but they lap them up and the press gets rich.
But I think GMTV got it horribly wrong, and I wonder if they'll get other complaints. Why not ring them yourself and give them an earful? I'd happily do it myself but I didn't actually see it.
they do pay attention to viewers' opinions - that's how they judge what viewers want. I think this was a crass error of news judgement, but they won't know unless the public tell them; so go for it.
