getting children into school
4 Answers
In December me and family are moving to Surrey, because of my husbands job. I have spent all day ringing schools within a 15 mile radius finding out if it is possible for my children have placements. Every single one of them have said there are no places for my kids. I have spoken to someone at the county council who are sending me forms to fill out and then someone will sort out schools for the kids. So with all this in mind, if all the schools are full, how do my children get educated?

You dont say how old your kids are but I know that moving children during a school year can be difficult, as you are experiencing because places are filled, but also very unsettling for them.
It might be worth considering you and the children staying where you are until the school year finishes in the summer and your husband commuting at weekends and staying locally during the week. I know this adds extra cost but his new employer might be able to help and in the long run it might be the best investment you make for your kids. Also, his job might not work out and youll have relocated for nothing.
Just thought Id throw in another idea. Good luck with your move.
