Greek currency found, is it still legal?

Mr ES and myself are learning Greek, which we started many years ago, however, sifting through the paperwork, we found some �150 in Greek Drachma hidden amongst the pages. (Just the sort of thing he did in those days!) Can we change this up at all or are we going to lose it. Does anyone know? If not, he is in deep doo doos!

According to the Bank Of Greece website, you have until 1st March 2012 to change drachma notes into euros.
I don't know if you can do this in the UK or need to go to Greece itself?

eyeshade, im guessing you can change your Greek dosh back to English dosh at the local bank or travel agent.
