I know this is quite a controversial topic but how is entitlement to EMA assessed. If you look at the website, it says that any child living in a house with an income of more than �30,000 (something that like) do not qualify. However, I know of people who have been earning just a little above (by about �2,000 or �3,000) and have thought
'may aswell apply, i've got nothing to lose' - only to be accepted and recieve the minimum of �10 per week. That may not sound much but it would make a huge difference to some families.
I was talking to an old acquaintance this morning who was telling me how her 17 year old daughter had to use her EMA to run her car....................now that really p155ed me off.
