Advice on home learning course needed
4 Answers
Hi,
I got some inheritance a while ago so i decided to use it to better myself and paid 4000 for an IT home learning course.
Its been 10 months since i got the coursework delivered and i havnt even picked it up yet. I just don't have the time to even think about starting it.
I realise i rushed into it too quickly and i really regret spending so much money on it.
I was wondering if anyone has any advice/experience on how i could go about trying to get my money back.
The course work is untouched and i have had no communication from them to check as to why i havnt submitted any coursework to be marked as yet?
ANY advice/info would be gratefully received. I am only 22, i was wondering if maybe there was some law being an under 25 that i could use?? Thank you

The salesman said that he had to pass a test first to ensure he was suitable. Of course, he passed with flying colours, but I think anyone who can read would. Next time you think about a course to improve your prospects try your local college. They will almost certainly have an evening course which will suit and there is an element of discipline involved which will encourage you to see the thing through.
I would imagine your chances of getting a refund are absolutely zero... and thinking about it from their perspctive - they are a business - they sold you an item if there is no fault with it why should you get a refund through change of mind.
I would learn lesson from this and perhaps not be so wasteful with money next time!
I did a home learning course with ICS and paid for it monthly and made sure it was completed within the 12 month timeframe - despite having a full time job, and organising the building of a house in my spare time...
