a teacher on facebook
71 Answers
it came up, suggesting i know someone on facebook who happens to be my now ex teacher.
To start with i didn't realise it was him as if i'm not sure if i know a person i look at their profile, and see who their friends are. I soon realised it was him, but the odd thing was that all his friends were either teachers at the school or pupils who are still there . . . . do you think this is odd?

On what are you basing his lack of enthusiasm - because he told you he wouldn't come in on results day? In my day I never thought of going in, I got the results of my classes by phone. Maybe he just didn't want to discuss it with you. If he's got that many friends who are pupils he must be popular with someone!
Let's get one thing clear - just because someone's your Facebook friend doesn't mean you're best mates in real life. I have one or two FB friends I've never even met - we've just known each other via various forums for a long time. A number of my friends are people from my band - doesn't mean we're bezzies. It simply tells the world that we know each other.
Having said that, there is something rather sad about someone whose only FB friends are people from work.
