For some budget airlines, you will need to have your empathy extracted, develop the ability to live on fresh air as the pay won't support both food and rent, and grow skin as thick as a rhino so as not to feel the management and the customers getting at you simultaneously.
You won't get far if you refer to the job as an 'air hostess'. That title hasn't been used for a quarter of a century or more! (it's regarded as 'non-PC'). The current term is 'flight attendant' or 'air cabin crew member'.
