if not re-deployed, will be made compulsary redundant. Package would just about buy me a car - so nothing too great. Jobs currently in 'the pot' are all a grade lower and nothing particularly exciting to me. One position now advertised, same grade, but again, nothing exciting. Am I being too choosy in this climate? I cannot really afford to take a grade drop.

I would take what you can get. With my colleagues being made redundant around me, I am glad to still have a job and being able to pay the mortgage. Go for it.

agree with boxtops, took me a year to get a job after being made redundant go for anything!

thank you - if nothing else, (and I am successful) I guess I am still earning whilst looking for something I really want to to do. 40 years old and still don't know!
