I worked for Thomas cook (full time) 8 years ago. I had worked for them for 3 years at the time I took out a personal loan. I need to know if I had an accident or illness that would have stopped me from working, would they have paid me.. And if so, what period of time etc. or would I have been entitled to no pay or statutory pay?

Thanks.

I Don't have the contract as it was 8 years ago that worked for them.
You can still ask them though
are you trying to prove you were missold PPI?
Is your question in connection with a PPI mis-selling claim?
It's likely they would offer Occupational Sick Pay for a period, but the best approach is to write to them to ask them
If there is no way of checking back 8 years then say whatever they want to hear.

Thanks guys. Yes ppi claim.. Just one of the questions on form. Actually I have been successful with my ppi claim, I'm writing the question on behalf of my brother in law. He has yet to find the wonders of answer bank!
it would depend on the legislation at the time too, i think the employment law on sick pay changed around 2009 relating to statutory sick pay, might be worth checking that out too?
