how do i become an electrician!!!!!!!!!!!!

hi i am only 19 and already feel as if i am in a derad end job, i have good GCSE grades and fairly good A-Levels, i have been in my job for about a year now and feel like im starting to get seriously bored!! i am really starting to think that i want to become an electrician, due top my age i have been told that i could be an apprentice and that this could be the best way for me to learn, what i need to know is whether anybody can tell me where i can go to find out about how to get into this field. how much an apprentice will get paid, whether its good money once you have qualified! etc, i would really be thankful of any answers anoyone has to offer me,

I think you'll be lucky to find anyone who'd take you on as an apprentice, that sort of thing seems to be dying out. As you have qualifications, have you thought about going to college? I know 'book' learning isn't everything, but have at least some electrical qualification would put you in better standing when it comes to finding a job/apprenticeship.
