My rights during our department review
1 Answers
Hi All,
I have just found out that our department is carrying out a job review of its workforce, most of us feel that the decision to outsource our jobs and get rid of us has already been made by the management, so i would be grateful if someone could please let me know what sort of questions i can and should ask about the review and what my rights are,
I have spoken to my union rep and have to say i'm none the wiser.
Many thanks in advance

If, for example, they decide to outsource they must decide whether to sell you as part of the contract (in which case your terms and conditions are protected under TUPE) or make you redundant. If you have a union rep they will probably be included in any consultation, but it sounds like its early days so Im not surprised they dont know much at the moment.
Hang on in there. All will be revealed once the review is over.
