why do I have to wait 12 weeks for holiday pay
I work part time hours via an agency. I'm confused why I have to wait for 12 weeks until I receive any holiday pay. Is there a reason for this? I'm querying this because I might not work there for 12 weeks. I would love it if somebody could shed some light on this. Thanks, Sally x

For example, last time I worked for an agency, you accrued 1 1/2 days for every month you worked (or something like that). If you had worked 2 months though (8 weeks) you could have the 3 days holiday pay accrued so far, there was no waiting period.
Basically I think they are covering themselves, they are not going to let you have 2 weeks holiday after 4 weeks only for you to leave 2 weeks later. They would be out of pocket.
