I am looking for a job i am 14 years of age,(15 in december). I am able to work saturdays and sundays and anytime in the week after shcool except mondays as i am at college.

What about a newspaper round, that would fit in with you.Good luck hope you find some thing.

paper round is you best bet i think, once youve done that till maybe your 16 then you could think about workin in a job that would pay more,

If you don't fancy a paper round, try advertising yourself as a dog walker, gardener, running errands for the elderly, etc. Sometimes small businesses might want someone to sweep up (hairdresser's, for instance) or to make tea, but you're not yet old enough to work in a shop, e.g stacking shelves or serving behind the counter. Lauren: When I was your age, at Christmas time I would collect mistletoe and holly from the forest. I placed sprigs in small plastic bags and sold them outside Sainsbury�s. As I recall, I charged a shilling for a small bag and 3 shillings for a large bag. It was extremely successful for me. I�m not sure that some of the people really wanted the mistletoe, but the LOL�s (Little Old Ladies) who liked my idea of free enterprise.

You�re right at an age where you have the desire to work, but society isn�t quite jumping up and down to receive you. I�m sure it�s frustrating for you. I think Ice-Maiden has offered some excellent creative ideas. You might wish to make a card for yourself, mentioning your �sitting services, dog walking, etc,� and place them through doors in your neighbourhood.

newspapers and leaflets are your best bet. if you get any free papers in the door look in their jobs section and they probably have an advert for people to deliver that very paper thats how I started. dog walking etc are also a good idea
