retirement age
I am 36yrs old and in a new contract Ive been offered at work it states that my employment with the company will be terminated on my 65th birthday. I was led to believe that the age discriminiation act 2006 did away with compulsory retirement age so have I got any grounds to contest this section of my new contract offer?

The company have to write to you between 12 and 6 months before your 65 birthday and tell you of your impending retirement. They have to offer you the right to request an extension but they don't have to give you one or give you a reason why.
