City and Guilds Electrician courses.
6 Answers
I have been told to look at the courses on the City and Guilds website for learning to become an electrician. The only thing is I have had a look and I'm pretty stumped on where to start.
Could anyone guide me in the right direction as to what course to apply for first. I'm guessing it's obvious with 'Electrical Installation' but where to from there ?
Here is a link to the City and Guilds website with a list of electrician courses. I would really appreciate it if someone could help.

Thanks in advance.

The basic minimum course that you require to be able to practice as an electrician for domestic and commercial installations is 2380. You may progress ontpo 2360 or 2391 after that.
Thank you both for your responses.
I'll take a look at both courses mentioned as my electrical skills are pretty basic (I know how to wire a plug) and I'll get in contact with my local college to see if there are any spaces available for 2330.
Only downside is I'm working full time evenings at the moment so it might be a bit difficult to work around as my boss is pretty stubborn with flexibility.
But thanks once again to you both.

dont know what age you are , but on completing the course, im stating the obvious , but you will need , to find an employer who will , give you the on site ELECTRICAL EXPERIENCE you need ,,, thats easier said than done , finding an EMPLOYER , cos a laot of the 16-18 year olds who start an "apprenticeship" , are sponsered with Electrical contractors , this you know i guess ,,,
