Getting into agriculture

I'm a 21 year old lad who has always wanted to getting into agriculture but by having no experience has thought this may be a silly idea. Upon thinking about it though ive gauged ive have nothing to lose so would like some advice on how to get into agriculture as a career. I went to an agricultural college (doing and outdoor pursuits degree) so i know that you can go through all the diplomas & degrees to enter but is their any other way of entering into the industry?
