I work for a charity which is part funded by the council, public money,and some other funding,because of money difficulties not caused by where i work,one of the topics of the agenda was not paying us for the first 3 days of sickness,i hardly ever take time off sick and feel life staff like me are paying for all the ones that takes weeks off at a time,when i said that i will have to drag myself into work when i am poorly,one staff member said "you wouldnt want the guys to get it" i exploded and said of course not,but this is my living and i cant afford to lose 3 days pay,mind you he doesnt have the overheads i have, i hate the emotional blackmail mafia!!!

Explain to them puddi, that if they don't pay for the first three days of sickness you and all the others will just take the full week and claim on a self-certificate (SC1).
