Why do job agencies exist ?

Every job i have enquired about through an agency seems to have disappeared , then they ask you to give them all your details incase a job comes up. what a bunch of to**ers

I don't know if you have noticed but there are very few jobs out there and those that are advertised are filled quickly.

I know a few people who have found work through agencies - the jobs are there.

Sorry but they just make the jobs up and they are repeated in other agencies

Yeah sometimes it's difficult getting your pay from them, also non-existant jobs advertised, in my area (West Sussex) one agency had a whole page ad of jobs in a magazine and actually only had 4 jobs available, there should be some law put in place to stop them lying just to get people on their list!!
