Hi,

Just researching into the assesments that potential cabin crew go through. I think they go thorugh a swwimming assesment and english/maths. How detailed are these? Is there anything else you are tested on?

Thanks

I can't answer your question from experience but for many jobs now, applicants have to go through a basic test in English and Maths to prove literacy and numeracy (the sort of thing that you can find on the BBC Skillswise pages if you want to practice).

With swimming I would imagine that it's a test of swimming fully clothed, in case the plane goes down in water?
I can't give a comprehensive answer and I think it differs slightly between airlines but I looked into once and you had to be able to swim a certain length in a certain amount of time. I didn't look into the rest of it after that as I'm not a strong swimmer.
