TV Property programmes - why do you like them so much?
I LOVE TV property programmes: I enjoy having a look at other peoples' houses. If you enjoy these kinds of programmes ("A place in the country", "Location x3" etc) perhaps you could tell me why. I'm doing a bit of research on lifestyle for a degree and this would help me a great deal.

I'm absolutely facinated by houses anyway, so to be able to see inside all of those that you wouldn't normally get a chance to is great!
I have a lovely home, but am always tempted when I pass Estate Agencies. I want to go and look around some houses even though I don't want to move. These programmes are like therapy for me. But I am seriously considering 'pretending' that I want to escape to the country and making an application to the programme just to have someone run around and do the leg work for me. Sad but true!
I find the psychology of it is fascinating. For example, how having frayed stair carpet gives many people the worry that hidden parts of the house have not been looked after properly either.
Also I am mentally filing away the ideas for a quick sale when I finally sell my house.
Also I am desparate to find at least one other person like me who HATES white bathroom suites - they look so cold and clinical!
i love them and agree with Englishbird. i am quite nosy- the kind of person who looks though peoples house windows if they have no curtains etc. I don't know why. I like seeing what other people have done in their house, maybe get ideas.
And i also play along! How silly. I imagine where i'd put all my stuff if i lived there. See what different kinds of houses there are as I've always wanted something unusual.
And i guess it's also to learn any hints and tips about the property market that could come in useful when i finally have enough to buy somewhere.
