Moving from IB to ESA
2 Answers
I received a letter from ATOS saying I had to attend a face to face medical assessment to see if I am entitled to ESA, on 10 November 2011. I have now received a letter stating that a Medical Adviser has looked again at my file and decided I no longer need an assessment and the Benefits office will be in touch. Does this mean I am automatically going on to ESA? I'm confused.

If it can be seen from the questionnaire and any info from the claimant's GP that someone will score sufficient points, it will be a paper examination only rather than face-to-face. You will be transferred to ESA and you should get a 'phone call from the section dealing with it to let you know what date it will happen and the rate it will be paid at.
