Will I receive any money

Hi

I'm probably in the wrong section but here goes.
I am currently claiming for lost wages, redundancy & lieu of notice from government (I think) as my work place went into administration but I have been advised by a friend that if I get a job before I receive any monies I won't get anything?! Could anyone validate this please?

Unless I have missed something, why would the government give you money because your workplace went bust?

SB the government do step in to pay redundancy when companies go under.
em, Im pretty sure the the notice part is only payable up until date you get a new job.

Hi there. The same thing happened to me a few years ago. The company I was working for went into administration, but was bought by someone else. We were all taken on doing the same jobs for the new company, but we also got what the old company owed us in wages from the government. We had no break from losing jobs with the old company and starting with the new one, so I don't see why you wouldn't get what's owed to you.

i think you are still classed as employed until your notice period ends, perhaps the CAB may be able to help unless you can contact the National Insurance Fund to ask directly
