No signal or fragnting on TV

Our picture on our TV screen is continually breaking upo, showing no signal or scrambled etc. We have Freeview an DVD recorder connected. Any thing we can do ourselves without calling out an engineeror getting new equipment? Any help most welcome

But the analogue channels are fine ! I shall miss that when they turn it off. Nothing to judge the digial performance against any longer.
Not a lot you can do. Check the connections/cable by eye, wriggle things about. Or use a different Freeview box to see if the problem is with the signal received or in the receiver.

Has your area had the digital switchover yet?
If not, it will improve when they do that. They boost the signal between ten and twenty times when the analogue ha been switched off.
If you are already fully digital, check that your aerial is pointing the same way as all your neighbours, and consider buying a booster.
