Have a challenging couple of weeks and I have had to attend Doctors for various things which meant taking a bit of time off work. Last Saturday went in to work to catch up in my own time and I completely forgot I had a hair appointment. Anyway hubby apologised to her and I meant to phone her this week but after various hospital and doctors appointments and other vatious things this week it went out of my head again. Wee hairdresser has text me today and torn a strip off me. I have apologised to her and offered to pay for missed appointment but she kept texting me saying really hurtful things to me. Now I am a 50 year professional woman but I am really upset about it all and don@t know what to do now?

Tell her to nob off, delete any more texts from her and find another hairdresser.
is it possoble to find another hairdresser?
Sounds a bit harsh mums - think I would change my hairdresser, especially as you missed it thro doctors appointments etc and your husband apologised.
you should not go back! I am sure another hairdresser will be more reasonable.....
Find another hairdresser.

Seriously. You have apologised more than once. You have offered to pay for her lost time. There is no more you can do. Block her number on your phone and move on. There are plenty of hairdressers.
Change your number and your hairdresser
See - we all agree its not your fault, so don't worry yourself to death about it. Forget her, she's not a nice person.
Look for a new hairdresser after going round and having a word with the texting crimpler
I once had to cancel an appointment for similar reasons, apologised and explained why I was having to cancel and was then told that the next appointment i could have was in 3 months time, so I took it, found another hairdresser and then cancelled original appointment the afternoon before it was due. never been back.
What CD said...

Don't get upset and just ignore the texts
i agree. from time to time....life gets in the way. tell her to jog on and find another customer - one she can be polite to. you won't have been the first person to forget or cancel on her! i wouldn't return to her on principle.
Ignore it, block the number and get another hairdresser, completely unprofessional for her to do that.
unacceptable! you have offered to make redress!

ask a friend where they go, and good luck with the treatment!
She must be pretty desperate for custom - perhaps all her regulars are abandoning her in droves (if they have any sense!) ;)
she doesnt deserve your custom go elsewhere

Thank you posters you have made me see sense. I was/still am upset that after 18 years she felt the need to berate me that way but felt that as she is small business maybe she had a point. The last 2 weeks have been horrendously chaotic and feel that my head is mush at the moment but she made me feel so bad. Anyhow good news is that I have been diagnosed as type 2 diabetes so they have put me on medication to sort it all out. I say good news because I have felt so poorly that I had convinced my self it was something really bad. Thank you all for your time x
Goodness. If she behaves like that over a missed appointment think what she`ll do to your hair if you do go back. Sounds as if you have enough to think about just now without her adding to it. Take everyone`s advice and find a nice hairdresser.
Tell her to stick her scissors where the sun doesn't shine and concentrate on getting better.
That's excellent news, I'm glad your mind is at rest about the symptoms.
How sad that the hairdresser should treat one of her best customers with such little respect and understanding. Has 18 years custom stood for nothing?

I hope you feel better soon and you celebrate your wellness with a sooperdooer hair cut with a new hairdresser.
