I have ummmm i think it would be health & social care? Its 22 years since i left school (yikes) so its a little nerve wracking going back to education. But i obviously need it eh tilly? Ha ha x

Just a little wee thought....would you rather be counselled by someone with accreditation and experience, or someone who can spell and count and decides to call themselves a counsellor?

Sorry, jonah. I'm a bit grumpy this morning.
You can get support at your local college if you are a returning learner. If you find a course which is suitable you can get additional support if you need, it to help brush up your basic skills.

Start with an introduction to counselling course (12 weeks one day a week usually) then move on through the different courses the college will advise until you have done at least a level four course should take about 2 and a half possibly 3 years. There will be a lot of written assessment work though reports etc so if you do have a literacy problem or have not done any higher levl study an academic writing short course might be helpful
