Can`t help but my son owns a flooring company. If a young lad comes along for some temporary work he is happy to help even though it will be just fetching, carrying and sweeping up. Some small firms are glad to help a youngster with a but of gumption. Good luck.
Asda, the supermarket, are always advertising for workers. Perhaps other supermarkets also require staff.
Has your son tried advertising in the local newspaper?
I once found a job when I was a student by going into shops and asking if they needed help.
Farmers may need help with fruit picking at this time of year.
Some people will gladly pay for gardening help and dog walkers.
