My wife is looking to expand her experience and knowledge as a Teaching Assistant.

At present she is a SEN Teacher's Assistant but would like to know what courses (distant) are available to further her career.

Thanks in advance!

further her career in which direction?

to qualify a teacher in her own right (of adults or children having SEN) she can do A levels or an access course and go to uni?

i would have thought most cases would involve placements and lectures though!

Is she looking to become a higher level teaching assistant?
ah, yes in that case the school should put her in for the NVQ Level 3! distance ideas here:

She doesn't want to become a full Teacher but to further herself as a TA and gain as much knowledge as possible.

Doing any home based courses would be ample to start with.
