How deep is the diving pit at the Aquatics Centre in London?
7 Answers
I have googled this question many times but can not get a straight answer out of anyone. How deep is the diving pit used in the Olympic Games? I would think it would be deeper than the main pool which is 3 metres deep. Also are there any lifeguards on duty there?
Is it possible for us to visit the centre after the games have ended? If so how much would it cost then?
Thanks very much for your kind and speedy replies.

I would also think the diving pool was deeper than 3 metres or most of the divers would be dead now.
The pool I used from the ten metre platform in Blackpool Derby baths was 16 feet deep, if you kept your body straight when you hit the water and you held that position you would would reach the bottom of the pool but only gently.

FINA regulations state the minimum depth of a pool used for 10m diving is 4.5m and the preferred depth is 5m
