Let me start off - I'm a window cleaner.
I don't know about best job, but I've def got one of the worst ones ........ BRRRRRRRR.
My missus has a nice cushy number in this weather - she works in an office, nice and snug all day .........
I fell sorry for your missus, stuck in an office all day. Fluorescent lights, cliques, sharing viruses, annoying noises, nasty gossip, some people never volunteering to make the tea, BO and farts, the list is endless.
She's more likely to catch a cold and pass it on to you being stuck in an office (I do hope not) but a worse job has to be an Ice cream man- where do they go?
ark ice cream is quite nice in this weather, strange but true. As to jobs, well let me see, nurses on shift work, rubbish collectors, lollipop ladies and gentlemen, nice to see cheery faces, but rather cold to be standing around.
I have in the past worked on bulding sites (for over 20 years) and always envied people who worked in the warm indoors at winter time and pitied the same people come summer who were stuck indoors during the glorious sunshine!
The cold never bothered me much but hated the rain, if someone ever says you can only get "so" wet were lying.....!

I've just been out in the garden, clearing some dead stuff because the green recycling men come tomorrow - I reckon I wouldn't want to be a gardener in this weather.
Freezing cold, stupid sheep has gone for a dip in a ditch. No choice but to climb in after her and haul her out. Ever tried to lift a wet sheep? Not easy. Then, the ungrateful sod jumped right back in. I can't tell you how tempted I was to hold her head under the water. I didn't of course.
My job isnt too horrific... During an 8.5hr shift I only need to leave the office for about 1-2 hours depending on what is happening on site. I actually like the fresh air on days like this, the office gets too stuffy (not rubbing it in honest Gizmonster)
Haha - just switched laptop on since my day out window cleaning ...... some good/funny replies.
Just wait 'til it's summer and all of the people that work inside, will be wishing they had an outside job .... I don't know why though, 'cos in summer it just rains all the time (but at least it's warm).
Well I have both the best and the worst job. On the days I work from home I can curl up on the sofa in a thick woolly pully with a cup a soup - in the summer I can sit with the lappy in the garden and get some rays.
The problem arises when I have to be present at a Court in the **** end of nowhere by 9am and the weather has other plans for me. I once got stuck on the A140 in terrible conditions and had the bright idea of conducting the hearing by phone (which I did). That was on the Friday. On the Monday I was in front of the same Judge in a different Court who opened the hearing by saying "So nice of you to honour us with your presence today, Miss BM".
