Erm... it has been? For the last couple of years? They can't keep fiddling, they have to set a course and see if it works. A fiddling government makes for nervous markets.
They have no magic wand to sort that problem (because no one wants to talk about the real problem: pensions and housing prices).
They do have a magic wand to fix this problem of inequality - so why not let them wave it?
This thread has echoes of when Lords reform was on the cards (something I believe would be for the betterment of the country generally). Is this tone of "they could be spending their time better, rather than changing things" just because you're all natural small-c conservatives? Or because you don't want gays to get married?
