Could be inviting you in for review interview ?
they are getting people back into work, sure they will contact you again. Are you disabled in any way, that you can't work, only asking as they are rounding everyone up that has been unemployed for a time, do you get state benefits

job seekers allowance- im claiiming
then you will be phoned, and will likely be sent a letter for an interview for suitability for work. thats the only thing i can think of
I assume you go in at once a fortnight to 'sign on' and maybe more often to look for jobs or ask for support, so it won't be long before you'll find out. They may call back again soon anyway.

thanks for the advice em10 - a get a bit panicky when i get a phone call from the social - NOTHING TO HIDE THOUGH.
Maybe they were ringing with details of a job they'd found for you. Call them back or call in before it goes, but if ringing call your local centre rather than use an 0845 number
There could be any number of reasons, could be about a job or a training course, rearranging an appointment or it could be to give a Jobseeker's Direction to do a particular thing to improve the chances of employment. As has been said, 'phone them up and you'll find out.
