Still Not Sleeping (Round One) And Fao Fgt

For attention of one and all - I am going to retire soon.
Apologies to FGT re Belfast slang - I can now understand why you have never heard of it in Belfast city centre and elsewhere and I am realising the "language" my friends and I use - are "code" language which we understand between each other. - Sorry FGT - you wouldn't be aware of it!
Will follow this thread through tomorrow - of course to anybody who is interested tho - good night - will have some "codes" for you tomorrow - not them all of course - English humour can be a little different to the Irish and may bore you. But only defending myself in my honour for using "different language" to you when posting. Think I am doing well "speaking the Queen's English" wink wink

Unfortunately I am "codeing" a bit too much with other people (lately and am realising I have to "explain" what I am talking about - they go into fits of (a little bit of coding here) laughter and when I was visiting neighbours the other night who also had laters (later that night) relatives/visitors (I wouldn't have been there as I truly never intrude) (my visits to any neighbours last 15 mins (bit odd me you know) visitors - I started to talk codeing - (not meaning to of course) and knew from their faces they didn't understand what I was talking about. Must stop this of course - but it is a natural between us friends. Going on a bit here - maybe when I do give you the code language - you could be bored "sh tless" - as I said before you may not pick it up.
Any way hope Giveup didn't giveup last night with her husband being home. Bye for now.

I'm not going to bother learning your codes when we have a perfectly good language in common. TheCorbyLoon even manages to write in his dialect and is completely coherent. Use your 'codes' when with your friends and write properly on here if you're having a problem making yourself understood for goodness sake!
That was a quick reply from you Eccles - that is why I may leave this topic for people who would understand. It is a lovely "special language between friends" so I guess "outsiders wouldn't understand" - so think I am not going to the trouble to "explain". I will leave it for another time and maybe for a Belfast forum (if there is one). Bye Eccles.
Connemmara, if I'm right you used to manage a typing pool.
If that is the case you would have a good command of the keyboard, punctuation and grammar. Your posts can be terribly difficult to follow because as you have said you type as you speak. Put your old work hat on and type as if your were working, you'll find your posts are much more easily understood and there will be much less conflict.
There's no need to leave the site in search of somewhere else!
