Bbc Golf Coverage - Garbage.
12 Answers
All the usual cr4p from the BBC. Interviews, chat, pictures of the beach and the sea. Oh and there's some golf going on as well. There was half an hour of chat in the studio this morning before we got any golf. It sums up the BBC. Chat and talk about it but don't show it. Useless.

I know the chat and the music and the shots of the countryside are used as fillers, but there's not much happening in the morning. Just those who are 8+ going out and nothing out on the course to talk about.
Now however, its wall to wall golf. Great coverage, lovely camera angles and good information. I'm loving it although I wish I were there really.

The BBC are not the broadcaster they used to be. Quality is slipping and they need to get rid of all the deadwood presenters. Even the trusted and professional news is no longer worth watching.
I think they are doing all this on purpose so they can say that standards won't improve until they put up the licence fee to improve services. Sneaky.

Players still out on the course but we have to follow Westwood and Woods off the course, completing the scorecards, probably up until they get into the shower. Stenson is still in contention but oh, no, we now have to watch the witch(*) hazel interview.
(*) i usually use the b- version of that word.

I am never one to laud the BBC. However…
I’m sure that golf is a fine sport for its participants. But a spectator sport it ain’t. Considering that by far and away the greatest proportion of the “action” in a round of golf consists of two blokes and their sherpas trudging across a field to retrieve a small ball that they’ve just clouted into some long grass (or a pit full of sand or a pond) any TV coverage will inevitably include a lot of “fillers”.
Next thing they’ll be putting snooker on the radio! :-)
