City And Guilds Qualification Same As Nvq?

Hi All, I have a City and Guilds CNC machine setting certificate and my work want me to take an NVQ. Are C and G qualifications comparable to NVQs? cheers

Might be worth doing it if your employer is willing to pay for it.
