My Neighbours Music Is So Loud!

My pillow is vibrating! (Trying to nap before nightshift)

God im only in here a week and its such an awkward thing...

I can hardly ignore it. I can hear the words over my tv sound!

Tempted to go & knock the door if theyd even hear me!

I like loud music too actually just not THAT loud...its like hard dance music with a really loud bass !

I'd say earplugs, but they may not be of much use when the bass is making your ribs rattle.

Tinks have you just moved in there? That may be the reason the place was empty. Complain to the landlord now, perhaps he is already aware of the noise nuisance.

Is this a new flat Tinks? This would be my idea of hell and very fraying on the nerves. I'd be just as uptight about approcahing the neighbours as putting up with the music. Hopefully you are braver than me, you really need to say something.

My deepest sympathy, we once had awful noisy neighbours, they didn't care about our 'polite' complaints about the racket. In the end we had to move house to escape these morons and their ('so-called') musical noise. It nearly drove me insane.

If you are renting, complain to the landlord. I phoned my landlord and he could hear the noise even over the phone. Record it. I found knocking and complaining was useless. Are other neighbours affected? There is strength in numbers, if so.

know the feeling i hadnt been in my new house long when her next door put her music(and i use the term loosely) so loud that you could the vibrations in the couch! she is in the process of moving out now thank god! she was a nighmare

Just goes to show that speaking to neighbours and gently enquiring about loud music in the neighbourhood is a vital part of the process of deciding whether to go ahead with renting or purchasing.

One week since you moved in? It's like they're drawing the line in the sand to see if you'll stand up to them or just keep to yourself and put up with it.

There's nothing worse I can think of than having your first interaction with a new acquaintance being one where they have forced you to make it a complaint, instead of a "hello".

if you don't feel like facing them slip a note through their door.
I know how you feel - the lame brain near us plays his drum kit all hours of the day and night and he cant hold a tune which makes it worse we ask him nicely to keep the noise down and he does for a while then up its goes again.
