can I recieve job seeker allowance and work part-time less than 16 hours

yes you can but you have to inform the job centre so that you dont get into any trouble
when you make a claim you must fill out an a 15 and then when you sign on you must fill out a b7 form on each attendance. if you work over 15 hrs in any one week you will get your claim closed automatically
You have to work below 15 hours, and your JSA gets matched pound for pound so if your hourly rate is �5 an hour you probably wont be better off. Try around �8 and you'll get aleast double weekly pay.  This is a good temporary situation, but you'll have trouble find such a job!
