CELTA (Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults) is a particular, widely-recognised TEFL qualification. Assuming you have the appropriate minimum qualifications, a full-time course leading to a TEFL certificate appears to require 6 to 8 weeks, but part-time courses are probably available.
