I am currently on pension credit, Im approaching 64 years old, will i automatically go on to old age pension when i reach 65.

have you checked what age you will draw your pension? I don't draw mine till age 67
i assume that if you are not eligible for your old age pension they will just continue with the pension credit

I'll get mine when I'm 65, its only 18 months away, I live in Scotland.
I really must go move there.
You should receive a letter inviting you to claim your State Pension. You can also claim it online:
https://www.gov.uk/claim-state-pension-online
Three months before your due pension date you will receive a letter from DWP telling you how to apply. In my experience, don't do it on-line, it's a right faff. Do it over the phone (free number).
