So i recently started a new job with very different hours from my previous one and i am finding it hard to get the energy/motivation to work out after work. At my previous job some of my shifts started in the afternoon giving me time to exercise before my shift. My new job however is 8-5 everyday (Monday - Friday) with a hour added on to both ends for travel. I have always worked out and enjoy doing so but my job is physically challenging in itself and by the time i get home all i want to do is get a shower and relax. How can i fight the fatigue and get my old motivation back?

Also i have been doing what i can at weekends when i am not in work. But before i was working out 4-5 times a week and now going down too just 2 days does not feel as rewarding.
Give yourself time to adapt to your new routine. The change to autumn isn't helping as our bodies are responding to the cooler climes and telling us to cosy up indoors!

Once you feel more settled try an extra early start rather than an after work session and see how that works. Do it once and you might get motivated again.

Unfortunately I cannot speak from experience - I've never worked out and struggled to walk round the block at lunchtime! Be kind to yourself and only go if it makes you happy. Life is too short to push it to the limits.
You might find that you don't need to go to the gym so often if your job is giving you physical challenges - you're working out on the job. That also might save you a bit of money if you are paying by visit (see your other thread about not frittering cash).
