Admin Work From Home

How can i advertise my services to people, and make people trust my confidentiality. I am still trying to look at ways to work from home, and i am an admin worker/secretary/ everything else, in addition to being a Phlebotomist. If anyone would like admin work doing, i could do this from home, but i need to be able to advertise. thanks

Get a separate mobile (cheap PAYG) for your work purposes.

Then you can put together a nice advertising flier with this number on - post it in local shops etc.

It doesn't cost much to get an internet domain name and a small amount of webspace plus a 'proper' email address (about £20 - £30 a year).

Get a computer literate friend to set up web page with your information and contact details - and make sure they know how to get google to display your web page.

Sorry but I wouldn't be comfortable with anyone who didn't also have a home number, for the very reason that it is so easy to get a cheap mobile.

You need to target local people at first and friends of friends. A good way is to start a FaceBook page all about your business and invite your friends to share it. People will trust 'friends of friends' more than some random person on the net, especially for admin work. Visit local universities and put an ad up on notice boards for typing work. You need to target your potential clients, do some work at 'bargain' prices so you can get testimonials and often one job will lead to another.

Do you have a parish magazine where you live? If they carry a few adverts, which they often do to offset costs of production, it can be a cheap and effective way to contact the local population.
If you can get a start by working hard at a competitive price, 'word of mouth' connections should follow. Good luck!

Try contacting (or going to a meeting of) your local Chamber of Commerce. Good place to start putting your name about (or 'networking' as the bright young things call it).
