I have been having a look at this for a while now whilst surfing the web. Has anybody on AB ever made any extra money (however small) out of doing online surveys,or is it all a big con?

Is it really possible to earn a few extra pounds a week?

Yes, although it does take a while to make any money. I'm signed up with www.yougov.com and received a cheque for �50 from them recently. Their surveys are quite interesting and are often quoted in the newspapers. I've also earned about �60 from www.mutualpoints.com, although that is mostly cash-back from shopping online. I've also done pretty well out of www.ipsosresearch.com. As I said, it does take ages to make money, but I just fill the surveys in during my tea break at work so filling in the surveys doesn't really take up much time.

Well I am willing to try those. However as a former lazy student type I have tried most things and the most effective way to earn a few extra pennies is always to get a real job!!.

yougov is professional but i have been signed up for a month and only up to �11 and u need �50 minimum before they pay

I tried Ciao Surveys. More often than not, (perhaps in 90 of cases), it seemed I didn't fall into the category they wanted. I didn't mind this - they need people of all ages etc, but the maddening thing about it was - it was only after I'd answered most of the questions that it suddenly throws up the "sorry we don't need any more responses." It has a percentage marker that shows how far into the survey you've got (eg 70% out of a 20minute survey). Therefore they have most of your answers, you've spent most of the allocated time online answering, and you get zilch for it. I don't know whether this is an intentional rip-off or I'm just unlucky, but anything with Ciao on the subject headers now goes straight into the trash.

Ciao is notoriously bad. I've seen discussions about them on the internet and everyone was complaining about the fact that you spend ten minutes filling in a survey and then they reject you. They are also apparantly slow paying up.

Try O'Pignon Marketing, I get paid 5 Euros per survey, but it's in French. I believe they may have an English site too, but not sure, will get back when I find out

I was struggling with same issue some days back. Now, I know atleast one site that is genuine and would like to help you out. I've earned from it. BELIEVE ME... All other sites are fake/SCAMS. When u are planning for a home based online work, be very careful because most of them are scam and ask you to pay initial money. never pay money to any such site.
